In order to hold a rabbit for a long period of time (up to thirty (30) days), the buyer agrees to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit to the seller. If the buyer chooses to terminate the sale, the deposit will not be refunded. I have the right to back out of any sale and a full refund will be given if I back out of a sale.
The buyer will not receive the rabbit until the full selling price is received by the seller.
Should a deposit be paid, and the rabbit the deposit was paid for, becomes not salable for any reason, the deposit will be refunded or applied toward another rabbit. The choice to have the money refunded or to apply the deposit toward another rabbit is the buyer's choice.
If the rabbit is being shipped, the buyer is responsible for paying full shipping costs, including an appropriate sized shipping container, food and water dish, health certificate, airfare, and any other shipping costs.
The seller guarantees the rabbit is healthy and is free of contagious diseases, to the seller's best knowledge at the time of the sale. Once the rabbit has changed hands I can not guarantee the health of the rabbit as I don't know what the rabbit will be or has been subjected to or how it will be handled or cared for after leaving my rabbitry or cages at a show.
Sad but true...some people bring sick rabbits to shows and they just don't care.
Pet Quality
The rabbit is being sold as pet quality, which is defined as a rabbit that is not guaranteed to show in conformation classes and is not for breeding purposes. No pedigree will be provided.
Breeding Quality
The rabbit is being sold as breeding quality, which is defined as a rabbit that is not guaranteed to show in conformation classes but is for breeding purposes. I cannot guarantee that the rabbit will produce for you as I do not control mother nature regarding fertility. If I sell a breeding rabbit that has produced for me I cannot guarantee that the rabbit will produce for the buyer. If I sell a non proven rabbit I cannot guarantee that the rabbit will produce for the buyer.
Show Quality
The rabbit is being sold as show quality, which is defined as a rabbit that is intended to show in conformation classes and may be bred. I feel that the rabbit has the potential to do well however, I cannot guarantee the rabbit will win or even place well in a show, I do not control a judges opinion and it is up to the buyer to evaluate the rabbit's potential show quality or to have a third party member do so.
Should the buyer choose to break any of the covenants of this Sales Policy, the Sales Policy will be considered null and void.
All monies mentioned in this contract are in United States Dollars, unless otherwise noted.
